In kindergarten, my teacher handed out certificates to the students announcing what she believed our future careers would be. To the chagrin of my scientifically-minded parents, she predicted that I would be a “great Canadian writer”. I haven’t cultivated anything that is working towards the fulfillment of this prophecy however, my teacher was right when she noticed that I love scribbling ideas and releasing my thoughts onto paper. I’m currently at the University of Calgary studying microbiology (the study of tiny bugs) and English. Since I began University, God has been calling me closer to Him and taking me on a journey to share my faith in many ways to anyone and everyone who is willing to listen. I believe that writing is one of these outlets where God is calling me to share the story of His love and all that He has done for me.
